Why use a Leadership Package?

Being a good manager and being a good leader are completely different talents and are very often confused as requiring the same skill set.

If you have a team of people, there are certain tasks that require managing but there is a far greater need to be the leader. What do we mean by ‘Leader’? Simon Sinek provides a few perfect explanations:

“Leadership is not a rank or a position, it is a choice – a choice to look after the person to the left of us and the person to the right of us.”

“Stars want to see themselves rise to the top. Leaders want to see those around them rise to the top.”

“The joy of leadership comes from seeing someone on our team achieve more than they thought they were capable of.”

What’s involved?

Leadership is made up various different levels. Our SOUP Leadership programme has four core areas and many levels in each area.

Our programme is made up of four full day workshops which are spread over several months.

Why Leadership SOUP? Like soup, there are often many ingredients that are not seen but are vital to the great taste of the soup. The same is true for Leadership… it is most often the subtleties that make one a great leader and not the visible ‘managing teams’ (And the four areas just happened to make up the word SOUP!)

Understanding and Leading for Performance – Budgeting, Measuring, Managing
