BOOK A CALL

Painless Practice is a strategic partner with Physio First, supporting their members on the business side of their practice.

Physio First have carefully partnered with businesses to extend the support they offer to their members, of which we are enormously proud and grateful to be included. Physio First members benefit from a discount on all our workshops, our e-book and are entitled to a complementary mini practice review.

Whether you are setting up a new business, expanding your practice or wanting to capitalise on an already successful practice, as a Physio First member you will have access to a range of member benefits including practical advice (HR, Legal, Business etc); useful resources; being part of a strong and exceptionally supportive community as well as exclusive access to participate in a robust, ground breaking patient outcome and quality programme (Data for Impact)

We are advocates of their Data for Impact scheme, an online, standardised, robust data collection scheme created in collaboration with the University of Brighton, who analyse and benchmark an individual’s (QAP) or clinic’s (QAC) patient outcome data against a data bank of over 100K closed patient data sets.

Participating in this allows private physiotherapists and their clinics to demonstrate the quality and value of their treatment which is an invaluable business tool for not only benchmarking their clinical skills, but also in moving the conversation with patients and potential referrers on from one that is just about geography, cost per session or episode of care, to one that includes evidenced patient outcomes.

By participating you can become a Quality Assured Practitioner (QAP) and Quality Assured Clinic (QAC) We actively encourage private physiotherapists to participate, support them in getting their team on board and once they have achieved their QAP/QAC status we help them to make the most of it in their communication with patients and referrers.

Celia Champion is also a member on the steering committee to explore the viability of establishing a Physio Co-op i.e. a business entity that is owned by its members and that is able to compete through scale within the private healthcare marketplace.

What does a Physio First Member and Painless Practice Client have to say about how valuable they regard this strategic relationship?

We’d love to see this develop into a much bigger shared collective of ideas, training, support, and help. There are other groups around for clinical CPD but there isn’t much for the business management side of things. The Painless Practice offering is as specific to therapy led business as you can get.  We have to recognise that the CSP is predominately (perhaps understandably) focused on the NHS and the profession generally and whilst the private practice special interest group is new this year, the idea of a community like Physio First and Painless Practice to be able to actively support Physios who go out into business alone can only improve the way we work (and look after ourselves) in Private Practice.
