Louise

HR Specialist

I have been working as a self-employed consultant for the past 10 years building up my business. Previously I worked in the corporate arena for 15 years for such companies as GSK, BOC and Thames Water. Currently, I also sit on the bench as a Member in Employment Tribunals.

I enjoy working with small businesses, giving pragmatic and practical, business focussed advice aimed at promoting the organisation to make the best of what it has rather than being bogged down in the mire that can be employment. My philosophy is that you can always do what you want to do, you just need to understand and plan for the consequences, and to bear in mind that there might be a better way.

I have a degree in Ancient History that enables me to speak Latin to dead Romans – very useful! I am also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, which is the professional body for Human Resources professionals.

I live on the borders of Oxfordshire and Berkshire with my family of dogs and cats. I enjoy music, tennis, good wine and gardening. When I’m not working in HR I indulge my passion for photography and animals, and combine these passions in pet photography.
